Neuschwanstein Excursion
NEUSCHWANSTEIN EXCURSION
One of the excursions the school organized was a trip to Neuschwanstein, a very famous castle in Bavaria (Germany).
This castle inspired Disneyland in the making of the Seeping Beauty Castle, for that reason it is also known as the Disney
castle.
✩Trip✩
It was about an hour and a half trip, we went by bus with more students that had come from another school in Spain. When we got there, we had to do a 30 minute walk up a hill to get to a bridge with amazing views of the exterior of the castle. While it was exausting walking up there, it was definitely worth it. Then we went to the castle itself, where we had a guided tour around some of the rooms inside. While photos weren't allowed, I can say it was extremely impressive how decorated and stylistic it appeared. After that, we visited the souvenir shop and after some free time ¡, we went home again.
✩History and architecture✩
It's a clear example and symbol of the Romanticism era, ordered built by King Ludwig II, who wanted to represent the Middle Ages as well as mythological music in the building. The construction began in 1868
✩Personal opinion✩
For me , this has been one of the best things I have seen in Germany, and I definitely recommend everyone to visit if they have the opportunity.
