OLYMPIA PARK

Olympia park is a well known place situated in Munich, although it was constructed for holding the olympic games in 1972, now it's purpose is more orientated to cultural and social events like concerts, festivals, markets etc.

✩Trip✩

Me and Sara decided to spend the evening there. It was about an hour and a half hour travel, first we picked the train from Herrsching and went to Marienplatz, where we got off and took the underground. Then we walked another 15 minutes or so until getting to the actual park.

✩Walking and hangout✩

Once we got there, we walked for some time around the park. That day, it was slightly cloudy but it was still good weather so it was quite enjoyable to walk around the green areas. There were some people in rented boats sailing in the small lake, others were cycling or walking and many were resting or doing picnics in the more elevated areas like little mountains.

We walked up a path and sat in the grass for some time, it had really good views and it was nice to finally have some nice temperatures.. We had some snacks and walked around the park for some more.

It is definitely a nice place to have a little excursion or picnic, and you can also do some activities like salinng in the rented boats or visiting the sea life aquarium next to the park.
