Trip to Bremerhaven

TRIP TO BREMERHAVEN #1

In the last week of the Erasmus program, we had the trip to Bremerhaven with the school. We travelled from the south to the north of Germany and stayed at a hotel there from Monday to Friday.

✩Trip

Since Germany is quite big and we had to travel in train across almost the whole country, this was the longest trip I had in my whole stay. I woke up early to finish my package and a friend came to pick up Sara and me to take us to the train station in Munich. We left at about 7 and arrived at the train station at 8 or earlier. Unfortunately, there were multiple problems with the trains and until 11 we didn't pick up the first train.

We spent many hours in trains and waiting at stations since we had to change 2 times and then pick up a bus to finally get to the hotel. We arrived there at 6 or 7pm.

✩First days

We had dinner at the hotel and I shared room with my friend Alba. The next day, after breakfast we had our first excursion, we went up a tower, admired the views and later walked around a small shopping centre that was next to the tower.

In the evening we went by bus to another place for a walk in nature. First we were in a grass field with very cute sheep around us and then we walked on the sand of the beach. What's the catch? The sand was wet.

We had to put on rain boots since our feet dug down on the sand, but it was really fun!

The next day we had another excursion to a museum about emigration in Germany, it was really interesting and really well decorated, it was really entertaining to see!. After a general introduction to German inmigration, there were multiple rooms that simulated being in a ship decades ago.  It showed how different it was depending the class you were in and how rough it had been in the past.
